Nutella ice cream hits the shelves in June, heading towards new success for Ferrero?

Ferrero is not going out of its way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of one of its most famous products. The Italian group has indeed announced the arrival of Nutella ice cream on June 3. Everything has been done to reproduce the taste of the spread.

For an optimal taste experience, the food giant has used a superposition of layers with different flavors in its new product, explains Le Figaro this Thursday.

Inside the pot, gourmets will discover several layers of Nutella, hazelnut ice cream and pieces of spread. In addition to a succession of complementary tastes, this creation also promises a variety of textures. It will be sold in the frozen sections of supermarkets at the recommended price of 4.89 euros for 470 ml of ice cream. This is far from the first time that Ferrero has launched a frosty version of one of its best-sellers.

Not a first

The Italian giant has already offered Kinder, Ferrero Rocher, Raffaello and Kinder Bueno ice creams. The group is therefore accustomed to the sector, which it nevertheless considers demanding and complex. “Ice logistics are very complicated because you have to anticipate the weather effect […]analyzed Loïc Lallier, business development director of Ferrero, cited by BFM Business. However, at the same time the weather can be good in Paris and bad in Biarritz and vice versa. It’s very expensive and difficult to organize.”
