Passionate “winemakers”, world champion of royal hare… The five stylish news of the week

Secrets of “Winegrowers”

After a previous documentary on biodynamic wine, Guillaume Bodin went in search of some pioneering women in the field. For eight years, he followed winegrowers who work as close as possible to nature, who were able to unlock its secrets in order to produce nectars that are now recognized worldwide. It is through a superb journey, which takes its time over the seasons, that the film offers to meet Marie-Thérèse Chappaz in Switzerland, Elisabetta Foradori in the Italian Dolomites, Hélène Thibon from Mas de Libian in Ardèche and Virginie Saverys from Avignonesi in Tuscany.

With already more than 6,000 preview entries, the documentary Winegrowers, recommended Art et Essai, will be released in cinemas on November 15. But it is a film that relies on the effect of word of mouth to make itself known and to let people know that it can be appreciated first with the eyes before tasting its nectars in moderation. To do this, previews with wine tastings of the film are planned before its theatrical release.

The roaster melts for the chocolate

We knew her for her coffee. Here’s Anne Caron getting into chocolate. Crowned best roaster in France 2017 then (one of) the best worker in France 2023, this enthusiast who has always perpetuated the family know-how is therefore launching beyond. Driven by the analogy between coffee and chocolate, she decided to extend her know-how to the world of cocoa, with the same standards in terms of roasting, sourcing and sustainability.

“Beyond the know-how specific to roasting,” she says, “there are plenty of key steps in making chocolate. We experiment, we define a taste… It’s like a new playground! » This is how a collection of three tablets was born whose story fully echoes the Caron cafés. “L’instant” is the most balanced with its 70% cocoa and its notes of exotic fruits and sweet almond. “Time”, very long in the mouth, is strongest in cocoa (80%). The last one, “Signature” is the one that contains coffee: 1%, it may seem very little, but it is enough to give it all its roundness.

€5.90 per 50g tablet. Points of sale: 32, rue Notre Dame de Nazareth in Paris, 5, rue Rollon in Rouen, 23 Place des Halles Centrales in Le Havre or on the eshop www.cafecaron.com/tablettes-de-chocolat.

This powder is mixed with a little water to obtain a paste to apply as a mask to the face. – Wow

Do you know that in most cosmetic products such as creams or masks, water is the first ingredient? So not only is it expensive per drop of water, but it also dilutes the active ingredients. The trend for solid cosmetics is gradually changing habits and certain brands like Waam also offer transformable powders. Simply mix them with water to turn them into a mask or facial cleanser. More concentrated in active ingredients, they also contain fewer preservatives. The 3 new products are the healthy glow mask, the purifying mask and the anti-imperfection cleanser.

These 3 products are sold at a price of €13.90 on the Waam site
