A truck drove into a group of pedestrians in downtown Passau, injuring several people and killing a woman. The truck driver was also on the way to the hospital, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman was initially unable to provide any information about the cause of the accident or whether it could possibly have been an intentional act. Since the driver was taken to a clinic, a medical cause cannot be ruled out. According to initial reports, a total of five people were injured in the incident in the Lower Bavarian city.
