Passau: No more tricks in immigration authorities – a comment – Bavaria

An Iranian refugee was summoned to the district office in Passau under a pretext – so that the police could arrest him and take him into custody pending deportation. A sneakiness that this authority is not entitled to in a constitutional state.

The worst thing about the lie with which the immigration authorities in Passau lured an Iranian into a trap in order to be able to suddenly deport him is that this is not an isolated case. That happens more often. That affects many people. In Bavaria, but also elsewhere. In Passau it was like this: An Iranian refugee was summoned to the district office with the claim that he would be granted a work permit – only so that two police officers could arrest him there and take him directly to custody pending deportation. In other cities, this trick practice is rarely quite so bold.
