The State Theater deals with the “Parzival” material twice. While Richard Wagner’s stage dedication festival play will be performed in a few days, the play “Parzival” has just completed its premiere. Director Kieran Joel worked with dramaturg Fabian Schmidtlein to create a version that is based on Wolfram von Eschenbach’s powerful verse novel and at the same time takes a lot of liberties.
