Part-Dieu station renamed after Gérard Collomb? Jean-Michel Aulas’ suggestion

Will the Part-Dieu station in Lyon be renamed after Gérard Collomb, who died last Saturday? No information has been provided to this effect but this proposal has been made several times, starting with Yann Cucherat, a former gymnast and close friend of the person concerned who delivered himself on the set of BFM Lyon. But also by Jean-Michel Aulas, the former boss of OL, questioned specifically on this question by Actu.fr.

“This station which is completely transformed and which will accommodate millions of people could be a symbolic link”, estimated “JMA”, adding however that “there are many others”.

Questioned on the same subject, Bruno Bernard, the president of the Lyon metropolitan area, emphasized “wanting to talk about it with the family” of Gérard Collomb before renaming a place in his memory.
