A six-year-old boy comes home from a party after seeing a movie, distraught. Is it okay if the kids watch movies together at birthday parties?
“My son, 6, was at a children’s birthday party recently. He was completely upset afterwards because they saw a film, “Yakari”, actually harmless. But he usually only sees short series, and only rarely because we realize that he is overwhelmed by all the stimuli. But now it’s fashionable to watch films at parties. What should we do? We can hardly tell the other parents how they should celebrate.”
