Has Corona now become part of the normal life risk that one has to accept? Or is there something else the state must protect its citizens from? Politicians should balance things out – but that doesn’t happen.

The corona pandemic did not arrive in Germany when the first case of the new virus was registered in Bavaria in January 2020; Nor had it arrived when the first German superspreader event took place in the Heinsberg district, and probably not even when the first federal states closed their schools and kindergartens. The pandemic reached Germany when the Chancellor sat on television and called on the population to stay at home.
