“pale copy” “they try the same character” “no one will match it”, a candidate reminds twittos of a former emblematic finalist

For the great return of Top chef on M6 this Wednesday, February 16, the production wanted to bet on a cast with very marked personalities. Among them, that of Wilfried made the twittos take a leap in time. For them, the candidate is a copy of Adrien Cachot, emblematic finalist of the 2020 edition. The problem: according to them, the latter is simply impossible to match, both in terms of his personality and behind the stoves.

After Love is in the meadow and Beijing Express a few days ago, another flagship television program made its comeback this Wednesday, February 16 on M6: the great Top Chef cooking competition, presented by Stéphane Rotenberg. For this thirteenth season, the great novelty was undoubtedly the arrival in the jury of Glenn Viel, the youngest three-starred chef in France and chef of the year 2020, in place of chef Michel Sarran. And the least we can say is that even if the new recruit was rather well received by the twittos, the former juror who officiated for seven seasons in the show missed a lot of them. So much so that some have taken to imagining that the chef had returned incognito in the guise of a candidate who looked a little like…

The teaser broadcast at the start of the program also set the tone: this season will be placed under the sign of audacity and creativity, with candidates with very marked universes. Among them, Louise, 26, Franco-Portuguese feminist and follower of unloved products, who has her own restaurant in Lisbon. Or Michael, 33, a lover of “farmer, naughty but sexy” cuisine, who decided to take it on without delay by wearing a “fat is life” t-shirt.

On twitter, another candidate has inspired a lot of comments: Wilfried, 28, sous-chef of a Parisian restaurant, claims his very quiet temperament “I’m cool, calm, calm”, he declared to the camera, refusing to run around like its competitors. In barely a minute, the robot portrait of this candidate brought back memories in the minds of twittos: two years ago, Adrien Cachot was immediately noticed in the competition by his very nonchalant attitude during the first test. Not at all stressed, he had even taken the time to take a pee break when the jury came by… And that’s not their only point in common: like the former finalist, Wilfried has traveled a lot and immediately showed a penchant for very daring recipes. Thus, the candidate proposed to the jury a dessert based on langoustines and pecan nuts. Unfortunately for him, with less success than Adrien Cachot.

Wilfried was not chosen directly to join a brigade, and had to defend his place as a last chance… On twitter, this character was divided: if some were delighted to find the “Adrien Cachot style”, many saw only a “pale copy” and never ceased to praise the merits of their “king” of 2020.
