Rain, showers and thunderstorms, sometimes stormy squalls or gusts of wind: it remains uncomfortable in Germany for the time being.

Even before April 1st, changeable, moody weather will characterize the weather situation in Germany in the coming days. The German weather service expects rain, showers and thunderstorms, sometimes stormy gusts or gusts of wind. After all, after the rather cool temperatures of the past few days, mild air is blowing into the country from the south-west.

During the day, maximum values of 12 to 18 degrees are expected on Thursday. According to the DWD meteorologists, the nights are mostly frost-free. At best, snow falls in the higher elevations of the Alps.

On Friday, a fresh south-west wind with strong to stormy gusts will prevail in the south-west half, gusts of wind are to be expected in the mountains and during thunderstorms. In the north-eastern half of Germany, on the other hand, the DWD expects moderate winds that occasionally get slightly gusty.

At the weekend, a high-pressure zone will set up over the western half of Europe, stretching from Spitsbergen through Scandinavia and Great Britain to Portugal. It gradually directs colder air inland at the front. The daily highs are then only between eight and twelve degrees. In the nights at the beginning of the new week there is a risk of frost again. But the sun should also be seen more often again.
