Anyone who lives in a detached or terraced house on vacation is often tormented by the fear that burglars will take advantage of it. After all, many neighbors are away during the holiday season, so nobody would notice if the patio door was forced open or a window smashed. The SZ wanted to know from Armin Ganserer whether there is really a lot of burglary during the holiday season and how this can be prevented. He is head of the Ottobrunn Police Station, whose area of operations in the south-east of Munich also includes Neubiberg and parts of Taufkirchen and extends as far as Aying.
