Ottobrunn – secrets of a craftsman – District of Munich

The Munich artist Roland Blüml is a guest at the “Treffpunkt Kunst” gallery this month. There, in the center of Ottobrunn, he presents a review of his graphic work. And they are something special simply because of the nature of the creative development process, a gravure printing process. Blüml is an expert in “mezzotint”, probably the most difficult technique in artistic printmaking. Only a few prints are possible, proofs are not made. Blüml’s works can already be seen this week, but the official vernissage is next Saturday, April 9th, starting at 3 p.m. The focus is on the craftsman’s “European travel memories” – Blüml attaches great importance to this modest job title, as the Ottobrunn Art Association explains in its press release. As it says there, one is connected to the artist, that he wants to share his secrets and is available for discussions. The introduction on Saturday will be given by Anna Arndt, the artistic director of the Kunstverein. The exhibition runs until April 30, the gallery is open Thursday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
