The Protestant regional bishop of Munich and Upper Bavaria, Christian Kopp, dealt with the limits of freedom and the consideration of fellow human beings and the environment in his sermon on Reformation Day on Sunday evening in the Michaelskirche in Ottobrunn. Freedom is a promise that can also be overstretched. This can be seen, for example, on the subject of the climate: “If the strong and rich in the world do what they want, the balance is out of balance,” said Kopp. Freedom always includes seeing the rights of others. “The world is also the world of those who come after us,” emphasized the regional bishop. Kopp also warned against dealing too much as a church with the organization and maintenance of the same questions and projects.
