Amorous trials and tribulations, deception and dissimulation, overcoming conventions and the search for identity – with Shakespeare’s comedy “As you like it”, the Landestheater Schwaben is bringing a classic to the stage on Saturday, October 29 in Ottobrunn. It is a piece that is characterized by bitter humor, but also by human warmth. Shakespeare is less concerned with creating an unclouded picture of the pastoral, romantic world – the expectations of the audience, which are also indicated in the title, are definitely broken. The Landestheater Schwaben, which has often given guest performances at the Wolf-Ferrari-Haus, enjoys a national reputation and its productions are regularly invited to the Bavarian Theater Days. The production of “As you like it” only premiered in Memmingen at the beginning of October.
