A person died on Monday when a small plane crashed in a forest area near the municipality of Wald in Ostallgäu. Another person was seriously injured, the Kempten police announced on Monday evening. The 65-year-old man died at the scene of the accident despite attempts at resuscitation. The police confirmed on Tuesday that it was the pilot’s companion. The 53-year-old pilot was seriously injured in the accident.

According to the police, witnesses observed how the single-engine propeller plane of the type “Breezer C” lost significantly in height and finally fell into the forest.
