Orly border police officer arrested and network dismantled

All he had to do was activate his badge and close his eyes for a few seconds. A 31-year-old police officer, member of the border police at Orly airport, was arrested on Tuesday at his workplace, indicates BFMTV. Placed in police custody for “drug trafficking”, “criminal conspiracy” and “active and passive corruption of a person holding public authority”, the police officer asserted his right to silence.

The evidence against him is however clear. On the airport’s surveillance cameras, we see him on October 29 letting out, via a back door activated by his badge, a passenger coming from Martinique from the international area of terminal T3, in order to avoid him being passing through customs. In the images, this passenger is carrying a suitcase whose contents are unknown.

Spinning and dissected bank account

Caught in surveillance and wiretapped, the official led the Hauts-de-Seine territorial security investigators against his will to the suspected organizer of drug trafficking, an employee of a car spare parts store in Arcueil. . This man, and eight other accomplices, all from the Maurice-Thorez estate in Malakoff, were all placed in police custody with the corrupt police officer.

The latter was betrayed by a lifestyle far superior to that of a normal police officer. A study of his bank accounts revealed that he had spent nearly 100,000 euros on online games in five years, and that he used escort services. Investigators also went back to two “nurse” apartments, in which traffickers store their goods, one located in the Porte de Vanves district in the 14th arrondissement of Paris and the other in Corbeil-Essonnes.

They found 3.3 kg of cocaine being prepared, cutting equipment and products, 14 kg of cannabis resin, methamphetamines as well as a Remington 222 caliber rifle, ammunition and 15,000 euros in cash. . They had also intercepted on December 24, already at Orly airport, two suitcases containing 44 kg of cocaine and intended for this network.

The members of this small team “regularly went to the provinces, particularly to Limoges where they had a rear base,” explains a source close to the investigation to BFMTV. According to the continuous news channel, the drugs from this network were resold in Bordeaux, Périgueux, Oise, Loiret and several cities in Ile-de-France.
