Optical Illusion Video: Which Orange Circle Is Bigger?

This optical illusion is amazing.
Two orange circles are each framed by blue circles.
The question now is, which of the orange circles is larger?
Even if we know the answer, our brain is playing tricks on us. Because the two circles are exactly the same size. Only by removing the blue circles can we confirm this fact.
The optical illusion impressively shows how the brain classifies the signals received from the eye’s optic nerve and places them in the respective context. The visual information is picked up by the lens of the eye and converted into individual nerve signals in the retina. Then these individual signals are sent via the optic nerve to the brain region called the visual cortex. There they are put together to form the overall picture that we perceive.
What we think is the image our eyes are providing is actually an interpretation of the nerve signals being received by the brain. So the brain reconstructs the images based on experiences.
The optical illusion of equally sized circles literally reminds us that we cannot trust our visual perception.
