Opponent beaten and locked in the dressing room: long suspension for Italy talent

An assault after the end of the game brings Federico Caia a compulsory break of several weeks. His club is also asked to pay.
In Italy, up-and-coming talent Federico Caia has been sentenced to a long ban by first division club Hellas Verona. Because he hit an opponent, the 18-year-old has to watch for four weeks, and Caia is only allowed to appear again for the Primavera of the Serie A club on March 16.
Reason for the harsh penalty: The striker hit an opposing player after the final whistle of the league game against SPAL Ferrara (1-1) on Thursday, in which he did not play.
Hellas talent Caia locked himself in the cabin
He then ran into the dressing room and barricaded himself inside to avoid being identified. However, that didn’t work.
In addition to the penalty for Caia, his club was also fined. Hellas has to pay 1,000 euros for his player’s misconduct.
