OpenAI is reportedly in talks again with Sam Altman – Economics

After the expulsion of OpenAI boss Sam Altman on Friday, the American company continues to cause a stir. According to a media report from the US technology website “The Verge”, the board of directors is in talks with Sam Altman, to bring him back as CEO of the company. This was reported by The Verge, citing several people familiar with the matter.

The US company known for its ChatGPT program announced the expulsion of its boss Sam Altman on Friday. Other top managers at the company then resigned. According to Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal, OpenAI investors are now pushing to reinstate Altman as boss.

As the reason for Altman’s dismissal, OpenAI explained that the company boss had not communicated sufficiently with the board of directors and thus prevented them from carrying out their duties.

OpenAI’s statement on Friday was unusually strongly worded: Altman had not been honest in his communication with the supervisory board. “The board no longer has confidence in its ability to continue to lead OpenAI.”
