One seriously injured in new shooting

After one dead and one injured last weekend, new gunshots this Saturday evening left one seriously injured, north of Toulouse, explains France 3. The events occurred shortly after 11 p.m.

The victim is a young man of 26 and was hit by a bullet in the calf. However, he was treated in an absolute emergency by the emergency services who transported him to hospital. According to firefighters, this shooting originated in an altercation with a motorist.

A previous shooting last weekend

At the beginning of May, a shooting which amounted to “a settling of scores” had already left the pink city in mourning. The deceased victim was a 32-year-old man, “released from prison in February 2024” and known for various convictions, in particular for “violations of drug legislation and aggravated violence”, explained the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office at the time. The seriously injured victim, a 23-year-old man, was hit “in the chest” and was hospitalized, while a third man, aged 25, was injured in the hand.

The three men were in a vehicle which was preparing to leave the parking lot of a nightclub in an outlying district of the northeast of Toulouse when a second vehicle stopped nearby. Two men left the passenger compartment before opening fire with 9 mm caliber weapons, according to the first elements of the investigation released by the prosecution.
