Since today, the Netflix platform has offered its subscribers the series “Tapie”, a fiction retracing the life of the famous president of Olympique de Marseille. But obviously, one of Bernad Tapie’s sons, Laurent, did not appreciate the series. And he made it known.
“It’s fiction. This is what I find unfortunate, because my father’s life was so rich that why go and invent stories when there was plenty of material to make this high-quality episode in reality alone? (…) The football part? Pfff… It’s not great. Here again, there were plenty of situations or anecdotes that were good. (…) People who don’t know football will watch the series and say ‘oh look, have you seen what he does?’ Why was he destabilizing or stuff like that? Because we experienced it to our detriment too”he declared on RMC Sport.
