A 22-year-old young man was killed during the night from Monday to Tuesday, in Grande-Synthe, in the North. One of the two minors placed in police custody after this fatal attack admitted to organizing an “ambush” via a dating site, according to a source close to the case this Thursday.
“One of them admitted the facts,” said this source, specifying that this ambush had been organized via the free discussion site Coco. The two alleged attackers, aged 14 and 15, were in police custody Thursday evening, according to a press release from the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office.

The suspects “will be presented to an investigating judge” on Friday, added the prosecution, which is leading a criminal investigation for “organized gang murder”, entrusted to the judicial police. A press conference will be organized by the Dunkirk prosecutor at 5 p.m. Friday.
The police, alerted by the firefighters around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, discovered the young man lying in a parking lot behind a supermarket, with fractures and wounds to his face, a police source said on Wednesday. According to a witness, he had been attacked by three individuals, who stole his cell phone before fleeing, reported this source.
