Serious road accident on the RD1063 near Haguenau, north of Strasbourg, indicates in a report the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Bas-Rhin (Sdis 67). The accident occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday, around 1:30 a.m. Emergency services intervened but were quickly only able to note the death of one of the drivers, an 88-year-old man.
In the second car, the driver, a 19-year-old man, was extricated and evacuated in absolute emergency to the Haguenau hospital center while his passenger, a 20-year-old woman, was also extracted and evacuated in absolute emergency to the Strasbourg Hautepierre University Hospital. The Strasbourg public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation to determine the precise circumstances of the accident.
