Hello and welcome to the second game of the Olympic qualification. The German national team welcomes Croatia to the ZAG Arena in Hanover. Both teams are ready for a thrilling duel on the way to Paris.
Compared to the game against Algeria, national coach Alfred Gislason changed one person in his first seven. Rune Dahmke starts on the left wing for Lukas Mertens in the second qualifying game. Luca Witzke, however, is once again not part of the German team’s squad.

The DHB team will approach the game with a 41:29 win against Algeria last Thursday and can take a big step towards the 2024 Olympics in the second game.

If Germany manages to win against their supposedly toughest opponent, Croatia, their ticket to Paris could even be secured in the evening. However, Austria is unlikely to win in the subsequent game against Algeria (5 p.m.).

The German national handball team would like to take the next step towards the 2024 Olympics at the qualification tournament in Hanover in front of their home crowd. In the second of three qualifying games, Alfred Gislason’s team will face Croatia at 2:30 p.m.
The German selection still has a score to settle with the team, which has recently been coached by Dagur Sigurdsson: At the European Championships in January, the team led by captain Johannes Golla suffered a 24:30 defeat in the main round.
