As reported, the popular culture and music tent is in danger of being thrown out of Oktoberfest this year because another applicant received more points in the internal administrative evaluation. The Department of Labor and Economic Affairs is responsible. The catalog used for evaluation is the same for both the normal Wiesn and the Oide Wiesn, but for the Oidn Wiesn an additional assessment is obtained from the cultural department.
It was learned from the cultural department on Tuesday that this statement had been submitted on time for March 15th, although nothing could be said about the content because it was not a public procedure: “The non-public overall selection process is the responsibility of the department for Work and the economy, the decision is made by the city council,” said the cultural department.
