Oil company – Shell no longer wants to buy Russian oil and gas – Economy

The oil company Shell no longer wants to buy oil and gas from Russia in the future. The group said it wanted to stop buying Russian oil on the spot market, i.e. in the short term, with immediate effect and not renew existing contracts. In addition, all gas stations in Russia are to be closed and other business activities there are to be abandoned. In addition, Shell, in coordination with the governments involved, wants to remove Russian oil from its own supply chains “as quickly as possible”, but according to the company this will take several weeks and lead to bottlenecks in some refineries. The business with Russian pipeline gas and liquid gas is also to be gradually reduced.
