The carousel spins from week to week. This time the band Madsen made it to the top of the album charts. Last week’s winner, Samy Deluxe, dropped suddenly. What else has happened.

The indie band Madsen made it to the top of the world with their album “Hollywood”. Album charts done. As GfK Entertainment, the investigator of the Official German Charts, announced on Friday, the musicians from Wendland are leading the album charts for the first time.

“Hochkultur” by Samy Deluxe, which was in first place the previous week, fell to 53rd place. Party singer Mia Julia debuts at number three with the album Bad Manners, followed by Hozier’s Unreal Unearth at number four.

After Luca-Dante Spadafora, Niklas Dee & Octavian declared “Girl on the Horse” the official summer hit, the song climbed to the top of the single charts. The song “Komet” by Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207 drops from number two to number four, swapping positions with the hip-hop track “9 bis 9” by SIRA, Bausa & badchieff.

“Summertime” by Kontra K feat. Lana del Rey slips from number one to number three on the singles chart. “Theater” by Ski Aggu & $OHO BANI debuts at number five.
