She had made herself quite rare in the last few months. But now Helene Fischer can make a brilliant comeback. “Rausch” is the name of their eighth number one album.

The singer Helene Fischer immediately made it to the top of the German charts with her new album “Rausch”. At the same time, GfK Entertainment announced on Friday that it had “the strongest start of the current year”.

“Rausch” is already her eighth number one album, almost exactly ten years to the day after her first top placement with “For a day”.

Other newcomers to the album charts are the British band Coldplay (“Music Of The Spheres”) on Zwei and rapper Marteria (“5th Dimension”) in fourth. The Beatles’ anniversary edition “Let It Be” came in third. Last week’s winner Santiano (“When the cold comes”) slips to fifth place.

In the single charts, Adele (“Easy On Me”) celebrated her fourth number one hit in Germany. Already with “Rolling In The Deep” (2011), the James Bond title track “Skyfall” (2012) and “Hello” (2015) she was right at the top according to GfK Entertainment. Ed Sheeran (“Shivers”) slips to second place, the British band Glass Animals (“Heat Waves”) is in third place.
