Oberschleißheim – SPD parliamentary group member converts to the ÖDP – district of Munich

The previously non-party member of the SPD parliamentary group, Sebastian Riedelbauch, has resigned from the SPD parliamentary group in Oberschleissheim’s municipal council and joined the ÖDP. As the local SPD announced, Riedelbauch decided “after many years of appreciative, open and collaborative cooperation to break new ground”. In the future he will continue to participate as an independent councilor in the council. According to SPD parliamentary group leader Florian Spirkl, the reasons for the change are purely factual. Riedelbauch wants to set more accents in the area of environmental protection, renewable energies and ecological sustainability as well as child-friendly communities. The local election program of the SPD Oberschleißheim, on the other hand, has other priorities such as the construction of the indoor swimming pool, the development of a new industrial area or the construction of the bypass road. In his own words, Spirkl regrets the resignation of the previous parliamentary group member, but also emphasizes: “Mr. Riedelbauch was aware of the SPD’s program before the election.” According to Spirkl, Riedelbauch and the SPD parliamentary group have agreed to continue working together on topic-related issues in the future.
