Unknown people rioted in a church in Obernzell and stole an acolyte bell. In the church and the associated grotto in the Passau district, barrier tapes were cut, candles were overturned or rearranged, a rosary was torn off and a Bernadette figure was knocked over, a spokesman said on Friday. In addition, pictures of the communion children were thrown down during the act on Thursday afternoon and a silver bell of the acolytes was missing. The police estimate the damage at 500 euros.
