Nursing anesthetists call for a “dead block” week

Operation “dead block” in hospitals since Monday. In order to obtain “a fair recognition of their profession”, nurse anesthetists have promised “a clear slowing down of the scheduled operative activity, except for emergencies”. These groups, rallied under the banner “IADE united” demanding “legislative, regulatory and financial recognition of their profession”, integrating “the arduousness of their exercise”, as well as “respect (of their) exclusive skills”. They are currently covered by a strike notice filed by the CGT, for the period from November 2 to 11 inclusive.

Nursing anesthetists “have been fighting for more than a year” and “have nothing more to lose”, affirm the groups in a press release denouncing “the lack of government will to accede (to their) legitimate demands”, in terms of status and salary. They therefore call for “a” dead block “week, black week without IADE”, in order to “force the government to favorably develop their profession”.

“Strong disruptions should be expected from Monday, November 8 in all operating theaters in the territory, with a marked slowdown in scheduled operating activity, excluding emergencies,” they warn.
