The police cleared the entire courthouse in Nuremberg after a bomb threat. It was received in the morning, the police wrote on Twitter. A police spokesman said the area was cordoned off. He did not initially give any further details.
Numerous police forces and dogs are now to search the extensive area. Because of the size of the building, police expect it to take several hours. Several hundred people had to leave the Palace of Justice. Courts and the public prosecutor’s office are located there.
The area of Fürther Straße between Maximilianstraße and the Bärenschanze underground station, which has been closed in the meantime, is now open to traffic again.
