Former US President Donald Trump has demanded that incumbent President Joe Biden submit a drug test before the two duel in a TV debate for the first time during the election campaign at the end of June. “I don’t want him to get there like he did at the State of the Union, he was high as a kite,” Trump said at a Republican Party event in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Trump had already indicated several times in interviews that the US President was said to have been under the influence of substances at various events. He had already made similar accusations against his competitor Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election campaign. Trump has not yet provided any evidence for his claims. Biden has not yet commented on Trump’s claims.
Before the US presidential election in November, President Joe Biden and his rival Donald Trump want to compete against each other in two television debates. Biden challenged Trump to two TV duels on Wednesday, and he immediately accepted the challenge. The US broadcaster CNN said the first debate would take place on June 27 in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. The two competitors also agreed on a second date on September 10th.
