As reported, the 39-year-old disappeared without a trace six weeks ago in the south of the Franconian city after taking her two-year-old foster daughter to daycare. Her partner reported her missing that same evening. Shortly thereafter, the police took over the investigation – unusually quickly for adult disappeared.

Nuremberg police suspect Alexandra R. of a crime in the missing person case

“Since the items left behind at the place of residence include cash and ID as well as the mother’s passport of the heavily pregnant woman, the officials now assume that Alexandra R. did not plan to leave the center of her life or did not leave voluntarily,” said a police spokesman at the time. In plain language: The officials assumed a crime. A suspicion that is still in the room today and is becoming more and more likely.
