Siegfried Kett lives in Nuremberg-Langwasser, when he cycles into the city center he involuntarily comes through the underpass of the former Märzfeld train station. The 83-year-old used to be the head of the training center in Nuremberg. He knows how to use his words and doesn’t tend to exaggerate. The condition of the historic train station, this place that is exemplary for German history? “Lousy,” says Kett, “an undignified state of affairs, a catastrophe in terms of urban development.”
