Numerous accidents on motorways in the district – district of Munich

The onset of winter in the night from Friday to Saturday apparently surprised some drivers – or overwhelmed them. In any case, from the early hours of the morning until Saturday noon, there were a number of accidents on various sections of the motorway in the south of the Munich district. With the exception of one slightly injured person from the district of Rosenheim, who was taken to a Munich clinic by rescue helicopter after an accident between the Holzkirchen service area and the Hofolding junction, the damage to the bodywork remained. “In most cases, the cause was the wintry road conditions, which apparently surprised one or the other road user in the early hours of the morning,” said the responsible highway police in Holzkirchen. The series of accidents began around 6 a.m. when a 37-year-old skidded in his car on the A995 towards Munich, near Taufkirchen, in the left lane due to improper speed in slush. The car collided with the central barrier and then with the car of a 56-year-old from the Munich district. According to the police, the total damage is around 16,000 euros. Nobody got hurt. At 6:15 a.m., the car of a 24-year-old from Kolbermoor collided with the central barrier on the A8 towards Munich near the Hofolding junction. His passenger was slightly injured. At 7:05 a.m., a 23-year-old was driving on the A995 towards Munich, skidded just before the Unterhaching-Nord exit, and his minibus came to a standstill with serious damage after colliding with the central and right-hand guardrail. A short time later there was a crash between the Unterhaching-Ost and Taufkirchen-Ost junctions when a 54-year-old who was traveling too fast in the direction of Munich crashed into the central barrier – 10,000 euros in damage. Around noon there was another accident just before the Hofolding junction when changing lanes, this time not due to the weather. The two drivers affected were unharmed, the property damage is around 3500 euros.
