Police clear school in Solingen – no indication of danger
A week and a half ago there was an operation at the school in Solingen. It was about threats in connection with the Gaza war. The all-clear could now be given.
After a major operation because of an allegedly armed person at a comprehensive school in Solingen police have given the all-clear. All students left the building and all rooms were searched. A police spokesman said on Friday that no danger was identified.
All students were taken to a church meeting center nearby, the city said. From there the older ones were able to go home themselves, while the smaller ones were gradually picked up by their parents.
A witness said she saw an armed person in the school area that morning. The police took the tip very seriously and searched the building with special forces.
