A novice driver is said to have driven 192 kilometers per hour on a federal highway in the Würzburg district – the speed limit was 100 km/h. On Thursday night, the 19-year-old drove into a police laser checkpoint in Eibelstadt at this speed, the police said.
The young man is also said to have turned off his headlights at times. The police are now investigating a banned motor vehicle race.
