Not resentful, Christophe Galtier says “thank you” to the club, “especially” to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi

It is rare to see a coach express himself on the site of his former club which officially fired him the day before, what is more to thank him. But at Paris Saint-Germain, we don’t do anything like elsewhere. And Christophe Galtier therefore took the pen, or rather the keyboard, to split of a message transcribed this Thursday by his now ex-employer, who ended up finding an arrangement with the technician, who had one year left on his contract.

“At a time when we have just turned – and opened – a new page for PSG, I wanted to say ‘thank you’ at the end of this intense season”, launches the 57-year-old technician, who forget anyone.

  • “Thanks to “my” players first of all, who have been magnificent in their commitment to get this historic eleventh title. »
  • “Thank you to the sports management and my technical team for their support. »
  • “Thanks to the team behind the team [intendance et organisation], so indispensable and devoted. »
  • “Thank you to the medical department, so precious. »
  • “And above all, thank you to President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi for his constant unwavering support, especially in the most difficult times. »

The allusion is transparent, since Galtier will be tried on November 15 in Nice for “moral harassment” and “discrimination on the basis of belonging or not belonging, real or supposed, to an ethnic group, a nation, an alleged race or a specific religion” for the comments he allegedly made while coaching OGC Nice during the 2021-2022 season.

While waiting to be decided on his fate, the native of Marseilles “sincerely wishes PSG to live an intense season full of emotions and good luck to Luis Enrique”.
