Nördlingen: Woman is dragged several kilometers from Zug – Bavaria

A woman was dragged several kilometers by a train near Nördlingen in Swabia. The woman suffered serious injuries to her feet, legs and upper body, police said on Tuesday. She is in the hospital, but her life is not in danger.

According to initial findings, the 39-year-old got off the regional train on Monday evening between Donauwörth (Bavaria) and Aalen (Baden-Württemberg) at a stop on the side facing away from the platform. When she realized her mistake and wanted to get back on the train, the train door closed and the train started moving. Her hand was caught in the door while the woman was still outside the train. A train attendant discovered the 39-year-old while driving and initiated an emergency stop.
