Nord Stream 2: The new track to Poland – Politics

So far it was just a rumor, now the Gdańsk public prosecutor’s office confirms: The crew of the “Andromeda”, which could have carried out the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea, did not only stop in Germany and Denmark.

There isn’t even a handful of ports where a sailing yacht like that Andromeda, if she sails eastwards from Rügen towards Poland, could moor. The Bavaria 50 Cruiser is 15.57 meters long, 4.67 meters wide and has a draft of 2.25 meters – a relatively thick ship for the relatively shallow Baltic Sea. So the crew of six didn’t have much choice when they were looking for a port of call on the Polish coast in September last year. For a stopover before their alleged mission to destroy the pipes of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipeline, which lie 80 meters below the water surface.
