The verdict on FDP leader Christian Lindner is clear. “At the beginning his interventions had an elegance, but now they are just desperate.” Lindner will also be represented as a character at the Singspiel for the strong beer tapping on the Nockherberg this year, again played by Christian Pfeil. On Thursday afternoon he sat in a bar at the main train station, where the organizer Paulaner had invited, and destroyed his double with precise sentences. Of course he is allowed to do that in his role as an actor. What he is not allowed to do, as always, is to reveal too much of the piece. And so this afternoon becomes an unplanned competition between the Derblecken actors to see who can say as little as possible about the content in the most elegant way.
