Kegel is not only the head of the electronics specialist Pepperl+Fuchs, with sales of around one billion euros and around 6,000 employees. The company produces sensors and electrical components for explosion protection. Kegel is also President of the Association of the Electrical and Digital Industry (ZVEI), which employs more than 900,000 people in Germany alone. He represents companies that are particularly important now when it comes to driving forward the energy transition.
