After the conviction of the Green member of the state parliament Hans Urban for coercion and false suspicion, the defense did not want to appeal, as lawyer Andreas Hofreiter said on Thursday. The prosecution withdrew its appeal, as the spokeswoman for the Munich II public prosecutor’s office, Andrea Mayer, announced. The judgment can then become final. The Wolfratshausen district court sentenced the Green politician and organic farmer to 70 daily rates of 150 euros each on Monday. The court saw it as proven that Urban prevented a Google vehicle from driving away on his farm in Eurasburg (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district) in October 2019. He also pretended to have been run over by the Google car.
