Nine supporters returning from Lyon victims of a road accident

They traveled to Lyon on Sunday to support their team, beaten to the wire after a completely crazy match (4-3). On the way back, nine Stade Brestois supporters, all members of the Celtic Ultras, were victims of a road accident.

The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. this Monday morning on the A11 motorway in the Paris-Nantes direction near the town of Ancenis (Loire-Atlantique). For an undetermined reason, the minibus which was transporting them hit a heavy goods vehicle which was transporting a public works machine.

Supporter still in hospital, club says

The driver and eight passengers were slightly injured and transported to hospitals in Nantes and Ancenis. The truck driver escaped unhurt.

In a press release published on the networks this Monday, Stade Brestois indicated that a supporter was still in hospital “to treat significant injuries”. “In this event, Stade Brestois 29 would like to provide its full support to the nine Celtic Ultras concerned and wishes them a speedy recovery,” adds the Breton club.
