That was a beautiful summer; at least if you wanted to buy a ticket for local transport. As soon as you touched the screen on the ticket machine, a window appeared: “Click here for the nine-euro ticket”. Press, buy, get in. No frantic swiping on your cell phone to find out if you bought the right ticket for the route from Großhelfendorf to Höllriegelskreuth. Or to find out on the train that you accidentally crossed from zone three to zone four and therefore have to buy a 60-euro ticket as a punishment for not knowing how to use a machine. It had many strengths, this cheap offer.
