Former head of state Nicolas Sarkozy was doubly indicted on Friday in the investigation into fraudulent maneuvers to exonerate him from suspicions of Libyan financing of his 2007 presidential campaign, AFP learned from a judicial source.
According to this source, he was indicted for concealment of witness tampering, concerning the retraction of the intermediary Ziad Takieddine of his accusations against him at the end of 2020, and participation in a criminal association with a view to committing the offense of judgment fraud in an organized gang.
