According to a source close to the case, two women reported behavior at the beginning of July to the Paris prosecutor’s office that they criticized Nicolas Bedos for and which could constitute a criminal offense.
One of the women accusing Nicolas Bedos, an actress and screenwriter aged around fifty who calls herself Chloé, accuses the director of having raped her at the Bedos home in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de- Seine) one night in 1999. A second woman, under the first name of Marion, described to the online media a sexual assault committed by the filmmaker in August 2017 in a vacation home. She had known Nicolas Bedos since adolescence and her age at the time of the alleged events was not specified.
No complaint filed
These two women, as well as two other women describing similar behavior, were interviewed by investigators from the 1st DPJ.
None wished to file a complaint, said the source close to the case, which does not prevent the public prosecutor from ordering prosecutions if it considers it justified, and does not remove the right of the accusers to be parties. civil damages in the event of a trial.
