Purdy’s fairy tale with the 49ers continues: beating cowboys
The San Francisco 49ers around quarterback surprise Brock Purdy play against the Philadelphia Eagles for entry into the Super Bowl. The NFL team won the playoffs 19:12 against the Dallas Cowboys and ended all the dreams of quarterback Dak Prescott’s team, who had arrived with great ambitions. “We’re just glad we won. It’s playoff football, it’s never easy,” Purdy told Fox TV.

Purdy extended his impressive streak to eight wins in eight NFL games and also remained nearly clean against the Cowboys. He didn’t get a touchdown pass, but didn’t miss a shot either and only made an obviously wrong decision in a few situations. Prescott, on the other hand, threw the ball twice at a 49ers player.
Purdy was picked last in the draft last spring and was therefore traditionally nicknamed “Mister Irrelevant”. But because quarterbacks Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo were injured in the 49ers, Purdy made his NFL debut as a surprise and has been a regular for the 49ers ever since. Like last year, the team is now in the final of the NFC. Twelve months ago there was a defeat against the eventual Super Bowl winner Los Angeles Rams.
