With “The Pyramid” and “Jeopardy!” Sat.1 is once again temporarily bringing back two popular shows. There are a lot of stars involved.

In February there was already a first round of the “Sat.1 Kult-Show-Wochen”. At that time, the station showed new editions of “Die Pyramide”, “Dating Game – Who should be your sweetheart” and “Jeopardy!”. Two of the shows, “Die Pyramide” and “Jeopardy!”, are now celebrating at the “Sat.1 Kult-Show-Wochen” in summer another comeback. The broadcaster has now announced that. From Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 8:15 p.m. (also on Joyn), some stars are to be used again.

At the start, Andrea Kiewel (58), Pierre M. Krause (46) as well as Amira (30) and Oliver Pocher (45) show “use of language and body” in the show “Die Pyramide” presented by Jörg Pilawa (57). They have to explain up to seven terms with words and gestures to their team partner in 30 seconds. The duo with the most points can play the pyramid at the end of each round and collect money, up to 22,000 euros in total.

Verona Pooth (55), Panagiota Petridou (43), Ralf Schmitz (48) and Wotan Wilke Möhring (56) as well as Simone Thomalla (58), Ruth Moschner (47), Tom Beck (45) and Bastian appear in the other two editions Bielendorfer (39).

“The Pyramid” started on TV in 1979

On March 16, 1979, “The Pyramid” premiered on ZDF. The show is based on the US game show The $10,000 Pyramid. The format had a total of 15 seasons with 164 episodes, which were moderated by Dieter Thomas Heck (1937-2018) until 1994. A new edition with 20 episodes was presented in 2012 by moderator Micky Beisenherz (46).

Also “Jeopardy!” is back

From August 9th, moderator Ruth Moschner will bring the quiz show “Jeopardy!” back again. On October 17, 1994, the quiz show, which also comes from the USA and had its first successes there in the 1960s, went on the air on RTL. In it, no answers to questions are sought, but the appropriate questions must be formulated for the existing answers. Frank Elstner (81) moderated the “Otherwise Quiz” until 1998. Successors were Gerriet Danz (58) from 1998 to 2000 for tm3 and Joachim Llambi (58) from 2016 to 2017 for RTLplus.
